I know the chances anybody is still here are slim beyond belief and that anybody who knows the answer is probably even lesso, but I had a question.
After some initial going around, cutting my teeth on the River pirates and associated trash, and working my way up to a party of all the companions avalible now with Balanced B@stard Sword, Warbow, Plate, Great Helm, and the like I finally decided to go turn out the two Bandit Castles as a preliminary to getting involved in Guelf Communal politics. So without too much trouble, I managed to seize both Bardi and Monselice while turning out the outlaws who operated it. And that's where the problem started.
Because the Castellans do not look like they spawned. I searched up and down Bardi to find Adalbert to no luck and uneasily went on to take Monselice. Still no luck. I assumed that maybe I need to wait in order to recieve a message. But so far, Nope.avi. This is especially problematic because
A: In order to obtain ownership of Bardi, I eliminated some roaming Norman Conrois to win the (oh-so-misguided) trust of the Imperials, with the idea that I would have it just long enough to rush to Trent, get ownership stamped, and then turn it over. Unfortunately as time drags on, that isn't happening. Beyond roleplaying reasons (my character would be devoutly religious and torubled with conflict against the Papacy) it also make sme worry about other possibilities.
B: I've seen no indication of what I'm supposed to do.
C: My army is HUGE, especially by the standards of someone without Communal or League ties. Which means that It's starting to get somewhat cumbersome to move around and especially to feed. I need somewhere to dump these guys FAST, and it's only logical that the castles be the place.
And
C: I've seen some of my rivals getting active. I managed to jump on the problem by crushing D'Este and hauling him around in my army and will probably do the same to the Ghibelline Marquises, but that's just buying time.
So what gives? Do I need to be a certain Communal Rank? Have a certain about of fame?
Does anybody here have any light they can shed on this?
