the markings on the horse are breed age experiance warm/cold blood the circular one says it has 5exp out of 7 years its arabian born and is warm blood(easy to ride and train)

i think he meant the particular composite recurve bow. If i'm not wrong it wasn't particularly limited to the mongols especially, but i think they did come up with the double back horn/glue/wood composite construction. Glue didn't get wet and spoil in the dry tundra or steppes.
Ooer.. and btw, sarmations/magyar/persian/mongolian cavalry all stem from the same source, insomuch as their individual traditions of mounted archery as well as their use of recurve/composite horn bows.
